R E S O L U T I O N
No. 59-2
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has made ar-
rangements to acquire for the use of its citizens as
a public park, certain property as hereinafter des-
cribed; and,
WHEREAS, the late Ross B. Norton was for many
years an outstanding civic leader and resident of the
City of Clearwater, whose services to the City includ-
ed, among many other things, a long-time effort to se-
cure a public park for the City in the general area in
which said property is located; and,
WHEREAS, it is desired to dedicate said area
as a public park and to honor the memory of Ross B.
Norton by naming the same for him;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE C1T`f OF CLEARWATER,.FLORIDA, IN SESSION
DULY.AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the following described property is
hereby dedicated as a public park for the use and bene-
fit of the citizens of the City of Clearwater:
The North 1/2 of Northwest 114 of South-
west 1/4 of Section 22, Township 295,
Range 15E.
2. That said park is hereby designated and
named the "ROSS B. NORTON PARK", and shall henceforth
be known and referred to by that name.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, this 5th day of January.
1959. RE-PASSED as of Janu 20, 959.
