WHEREAS, THE WEST COAST INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT, s'=?M f -

olitical subdivision of the State of Florida, embracing the
Counties of Pinellas, }lillaborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte ?•;?;
and Lee, has been working since 1947 on the inland waterway pro- -
'. ject from the Caloosahatchee River in Lee Count to the Anclote{r'
River in Pinellas County, and
WHEREAS, the entire route of said project has been ,;W'• °'"t Y'`
finally determined and approved by all bodies concerned, including'
the District and the United States Corps of Engineers, and _ °r`°•yr°Iyy?,?,:
y r WHEREAS the District is negotiating the

` chase of right-of-way and has authorized the taking of right-of-
way by eminent domain wherever necessary and has actually com-

WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary that an appropriation of
Federal funds be made in order to commence work on the project at
an early date to bring same to an early completion.

concerned be requested and are hereby requested to seek a Federal
