The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:24 p.m. at City Hall.
To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not
necessarily discussed in that order.
2 - Approval of Minutes
2.1. Approve the minutes of the March 16. 2009 Pension Trustees Meetina as submitted in
written summation by the City Clerk.
Trustee Petersen moved to approve the minutes of the Pension Trustees meeting of
March 16, 2009, as recorded and submitted in written summation by the City Clerk to each
Trustee. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
3 - Pension Trustee Items
3.1. The Employees listed below be accepted into the City of Clearwater's Employees' Pension Plan.

Pension Trustees 2009-04-13
Trustee Doran moved to accept the listed employees into membership in the City of
Clearwater's Employees' Pension Plan. The motion was duly seconded and carried
unanimously.
4 . Other Business
Human Resources Director Joe Roseto said the pension attorney and actuary were
scheduled to attend next month's meeting to discuss alternatives and potential savings. State
statute requires the City to provide retirees with health insurance. It was suggested the City
should support legislative efforts to repeal requirement.
Staff directed to include recommendation to repeal state requirement in 2010 State
Legislative Package.
