AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF FIRST
STREET EAST AND THIRD AVENUE NORTH
APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET EAST OF CHAUTAUQUA
AVENUE AND PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE
NORTHEAST CORNER OF FIRST STREET EAST AND
THIRD AVENUE NORTH APPROXIMATELY 660 FEET
EAST OF CHAUTAUQUA AVENUE, CONSISTING OF LOTS
1, 2, 3, 12, 13 AND 14, BLOCK 46, SECTION A, UNIT 1,
CHAUTAUQUA SUBDIVISION AND LOTS 12, 13, 14 AND
15, BLOCK 47, SECTION A, UNIT 1, CHAUTAUQUA
SUBDIVISION, WHOSE POST OFFICE ADDRESS IS 2350
LAKE SHORE DRIVE AND UNADDRESSED PARCEL AT
THE CORNER OF FIRST STREET EAST AND THIRD
AVENUE NORTH, TOGETHER WITH THE RIGHT-OF-WAY
OF FOURTH AVENUE NORTH ABUTTING LOTS 12, 13
AND 14, THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF FIRST STREET EAST
ABUTTING LOTS 1 AND 14, AND THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF
THIRD AVENUE NORTH ABUTTING LOTS 1, 2, AND 3 OF
BLOCK 46 AND LOTS 10 THROUGH 13 OF BLOCK 47,
INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND
REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO
INCLUDE SAID ADDITION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.

WHEREAS, the owner of the real property described herein and depicted on the
map attached hereto as Exhibit A has petitioned the City of Clearwater to annex the
property into the City pursuant to Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, and the City has
complied with all applicable requirements of Florida law in connection with this ordinance;
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following-described property is hereby annexed into the City of
Clearwater and the boundary lines of the City are redefined accordingly:
See attached legal description

Section 2, The provisions of this ordinance are found and determined to be
consistent with the City of Clearwater Comprehensive Plan. The City Council hereby
accepts the dedication of all easements, parks, rights-of-way and other dedications to the
public, which have heretofore been made by plat, deed or user within the annexed
property. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning Director are directed to
include and show the property described herein upon the official maps and records of the
city.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption. The City
Clerk shall file certified copies of this ordinance, including the map attached hereto, with
the Clerk of the Circuit Court and with the County Administrator of Pinellas County,
Florida, within 7 days after adoption, and shall file a certified copy with the Florida
Department of State within 30 days after adoption.

Legal Description
Lots 1, 2, 3, 12, 13 and 14, Block 46, Section A, Unit 1, Chautauqua Subdivision,
according to the map or plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 9, Page 52, Public
Records of Pinellas County, Florida.
Lots 12 through 15, Block 47, Section A, Unit 1, and the Right-of-Way of 3rd Avenue N.
abutting Lots 10 through 13, Block 47, Chautauqua Subdivision, according to map or
plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 9, Page 52, Public Records of Pinellas County,
Florida.
Together with the Right-of-Way of Fourth Avenue N. abutting lots 12, 13, and 14, the
Right-of-Way of First Street East abutting lots 1 and 14 and the Right-of-Way of Third
Avenue N. abutting lots 1, 2, and 3.
