Dear Mr. Johnson:
In accordance with Section 138.09 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Clearwater, I have
reviewed your request for a temporary sidewalk installation waiver.
Since the above-referenced property is not part of a school walk route, there are no sidewalks
along Calumet Street, and the absence of a sidewalk does not create a pedestrian hazard, this
location meets the requirements set forth in Section 138.09. Therefore, a temporary waiver of
the sidewalk requirement is granted on the above-referenced property. Should it be determined
that a sidewalk is required at this location in the future, it will be installed by the assessment
process.

The subject property is located where Calumet Street dead-ends west of
Hercules Avenue.
We, have reviewed the request for a sidewalk waiver and found there are
no sidewalks along Calumet Street, it is not part of a school walk
route, and the qbsence of a sidewalk does not create a pedestrian
hazard.
Since the requirements for a waiver are met, it is my recommendation
that it be granted.

that abuts a pub~ic right-of-way, which is to have new construction on it,
either for residential, commerCial#. industrial or other purposes, shall have
sidewalks constructed by the Owne~ on, across or adjacent there~o. #
The Owner understands and agrees tha~ ii the waiver is granted, the City may
install sidewalks at a future date and assess the OWner for the full cost ot
said sidewalks. ~
