Deletion of Portion of Laurelwood Drive in Countryside Master Plan
August 9, 1973
We have received a reques t from Mr. Doug las Roach of
Imperial Homes that the CitY,ah.anc;1on a portion of".!:~.ghJ:
.Q..~~~ay OI:J J.:nt'r'e,~_~:lYj; between Tract 35 and 38 on the ap-
proved master plan for Countryside. This is to eliminate a
potential hazard created by the demand for a 500 ft. radius
curve where Oak Neck Road connects with Belcher Road at
Greenbriar Boulevard.'
This is not a street vacation (It is not a dedicated right of
way.), but it would appear to require Commission action al-
though not as an advertised item. Rather, I would recommend
that it be handled on the Manager's portion of the agenda at
a regular hearing, ei ther Au~ul!.L.~I.,C?.E~pJ:ember tt... I t is
felt this is the appropriate procedure since the master plan
had been approved by the City Commission.
A copy of sketch is attached.
