FIRST EXTENSION TO
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT
This AGREEMENT is made on the '~~ay of Ct.:to ba , 2002, by and
between the City of Clearwater, Florida ("City"), a Florida municipal corporation, P.O
Box 4748, Clearwater, Florida 33758-4748, and Turnstone Properties, Inc.,
("Independent Contractor"), a Florida corporation, 49 Turnstone Drive, Safety Harbor,
Florida 34695.
WIT N E SSE T H:
WHEREAS, the City desires to have Independent Contractor continue to perform
the services, duties, and responsibilities of Housing and Community Development
Consultant; and
WHEREAS, the City and Independent Contractor have previously entered into a
Independent Contractor Agreement dated May 8, 2002 (the "Agreement") for the period
of time beginning on May 1, 2002 and ending on September 30, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the City and Independent Contractor wish to extend the Agreement
for six months beginning on October 1,2002 and ending March 31,2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises and mutual covenants
contained herein and in the Agreement, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows:
SECTION 1. Independent Contractor is hereby authorized to continue to
perform the functions and duties of Housing and Community Development Consultant
as explained and assigned in the Agreement and for the compensation described in the
Agreement.
SECTION 2. The term of the Agreement is hereby extended for six
months beginning October 1, 2002 and ending March 31, 2003.
