ORDINANCE NO. 6386-99
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, RELATING TO ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS;
AMENDING SECTION 1.12, CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO
ADOPT PINELLAS COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
98-07, PINELLAS COUNTY UNIFORM FINE SCHEDULE;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, County Court Administrative Order No. 98-07, effective October 1,
1998, amended the County's Uniform Fine Schedule for Local County/City ordinance
violations and it is advisable to amend the City of Clearwater's schedule accordingly for
conformity purposes; now, therefore,
Section 1. Section 1.12(3), Code of Ordinances, is amended to read:
Sec. 1.12. General penalty; enforcement of civil infractions; continuing
violations.
(3) Except for the ordinances set forth in chapter 6, article 111 of chapter 20,
f..,.,• and article I of chapter 21, the ordinances contained in this Code may be enforced in
accordance with the following procedures:
(d) A person who receives a citation from a code enforcement officer for the
violation of a city ordinance and who elects not to contest the citation shall be subject to
a civil penalty in accordance with the following schedule:
