AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE ZONING ATLAS OF THE CITY BY REZONING
CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE
INTERSECTION OF SUNSET POINT AND BELCHER ROADS, WHOSE
POST OFFICE ADDRESS IS 2201 SUNSET POINT ROAD, AS
DESCRIBED MORE PARTICULARLY HEREIN, FROM LIMITED OFFICE
(OL) TO COMMERCIAL PLANNED DEVELOPMENT (CPD) DISTRICT;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the amendment to the zoning atlas of the City as set forth in this
ordinance is found to be reasonable, proper and appropriate, and in compliance
with Florida law; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following described property in Clearwater, Florida, is
i hereby rezoned, and the zoning atlas of the City is amended as follows:
Property Zoning District
See Exhibit A attached hereto. From: Limited Office (OL)
(Z92-08)
To: Commercial Planned Development (CPD)
Section 2. Taking into consideration the existing land uses surrounding
the property described herein, the City Commission hereby determines that the
sign regulations for the General Commercial District are the most appropriate and
shall apply to the development of the property.
Section 3. The City Commission does hereby certify that this ordinance is
consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan.
Section 4. The Planning and Development Director is directed to revise the
zoning atlas of the City in accordance with the foregoing amendment.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take-effect immediately upon adoption,
subject to the approval of the land use category set forth in Ordinance No. 5286-
92 by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners.
