MILLAGE ORDINANCE
ORDINANCE NO. 5115-91
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, DECLARING THE MILLAGE RATE TO BE
LEVIED FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,
1991, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1992, FOR OPERATION
PURPOSES INCLUDING PENSIONS AND DEBT SERVICE,
ROAD AND DRAINAGE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, AND
A RESERVE FOR SELF INSURANCE, PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the estimated revenues to be received by the City for the fiscal year
beginning October 1, 1991, and ending September 30, 1992, from ad valorem taxes is
$20,564,518; and
WHEREAS, based upon the taxable value provided by the Pinellas County
Property Appraiser, 5.1158 mills are necessary to generate $20,564,518;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:

Section 1. It is hereby determined that a tax of 5.1158 mills against the non-
exempt real and personal property within the City is necessary to raise the sums to be
appropriated for operation purposes, including pensions and debt service, road and drainage
capital improvement projects, and a reserve for self insurance, for the fiscal year beginning
October 1, 1991.
Section 2. The levy of 5.1158 mills constitutes no increase over the rolled back
rate.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect October 1, 1991.
