AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE A;ft„A:
CITY OF CLEARWATER; FLORIDA 1972, AS AMENDED
BY RECLASSIFYING AND ZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY
AS DESCRIBED HEREIN; BY PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF 4
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; BY
PROVIDING FOR THE SEPARABILITY OF THE PROVISIONS
HEREOF; BY PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION
OF THIS ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE,
WHEREAS, on June 26, 1972 the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing on certain "'"•Y";`4`"?'`° ?`"'

proposed changes to the zoning map of the City of Clearwater in accordance

with procedure as established, which public hearing was continued until
July 10, 1972 and thereupon completed; and

WHEREAS, certain of the proposed changes and amendments to
the zoning map were approved by the City Commission after its evaluation
of all evidence presented at the public hearings;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following described property in Clearwater, Florida,
is hereby classified and zoned as hereinafter indicated, and "The Zoning Map
of the City of Clearwater, Florida of 1972, 11 as amended, is amended to
indicate that fact as hereinafter set out:
Zoned as CG _ General Business
From the NW corner of the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 17,
Township 29 S., Range 16 E., run N. 89° 461 0111 E. along the
E-W centerline of said Section 17, 415 feet; thence run S.
0° 211 2611 W., 589.81 feet; thence run N. 69° 411 4611 E.,
68 feet; thence run S. 39° 251 1211 E. , 615. 95 feet; thence run
S. 43° 241 1911 W., 354.98 feet; thence run N. 43° Ill 5411 W.,
878.65 feet; thence run N. 48° 261 0311 E. , 120. 05 feet; thence
run N. 88° 381 1511 E. , 84. 95 feet; thence run S. 76° 261 0011 E. ,
67.48 feet; thence run N. 88° 331 28" E. , 149.79 feet to the
P. O. B.
Section Z. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any part or provision of this Ordinance be declared
by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect

the validity of the Ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof, other than the
part declared to be invalid.
Section 4. Any person or persons, firm or corporation or assoct-
ation of persons, who shall violate or fail to comply with any of the terms
or provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction in the Municipal Court,
be fined not exceeding the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500, 00), or be
imprisoned in the City Jail for not exceeding sixty (60) days, or by both
such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
Section 5. The Planning Director is directed to include and set out
and show upon the official zoning map of the City of Clearwater the foregoing
amendments as hereinabove set out.
Section 6. The provisions of this Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage.
