WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Edward L. Mendenhall and Kathleen E.
Mendenhall, his wife, requesting the City to annex a: certain parcel of
real estate hereinafter described, awned by them, into the corporate limits
of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on February 16, 1970,
voted to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to set up
a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishment of zoning
and fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex: said
parcel of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in
accordance with the provisions of Section 6 (d) of the hiunicipal Charter of
the City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on April 6, 1970, .the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications
"for'said real property, and the said hearing was continued until April 20,
''1970, 'and thereupon completed; and
