BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Chapter 4, Alcoholic Beverages, of the Code of Ordinances,
City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following new Section 4-11A to read as follows:
Sec. 4-11A. Registration, fingerprinting, photographing
of night club and alcoholic beverage establishment
employees with police.
(a) Any person employed to work in any room where
alcoholic beverages, as defined in Florida Statutes
561.01, are being gold and consumed on the premises,
or any employee who serves said beverages, in any
night club or other place where such alcoholic beverages
are sold for consumption on the premises, is hereby
required to register in a book of registration to be kept
by the Chief of Police, and is hereby required to be
fingerprinted and photographed in the Police Department
of the City of Clearwater, within forty-eight hours from
the time of his or her employment, and the failure of such
employee to so register, be fingerprinted and photographed
shal? be unlawful.
(b) ;t shall be unlawful for any employer, whether it be a
person, firm or corporation, to allow any of such employees
to remain in such employment longer than forty-eight hours,
unless within such forty-eight hour period such employee
shall have registered and shall have been fingerprinted and
photograph(
d, as hereinbefore required.
(c) The C2ief of Police, with the approval of the City Manager,
shall make a nominal charge to each person registered as herein-
above required, which charge shall be sufficient to cover the cost in-
volved in said procedure.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
Section 3. Any person who shall violate any provision of this Ordinance
shall be subject, upon conviction in the Municipal Court, to a fine not
exceeding the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or imprisonment in
the City Jail for not exceeding sixty (60) days, or by both such fine and
imprisonment in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.

Section 4, Should any part or provision of this ordinance be declared
by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thoreof other than the
part declared to be invalid.

Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
