BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CL.EARIWATER,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 7-31, Board of Electrical Examiners--Created,
membership, qualifications, of Division 1--certificate of competency, of
Article III pertaining to Electricity, of the Code of Ordinances, City of
Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 7-31. Board of electrical examiners--Created,
membership, qualifications.
For the purpose of determining the competency of electricians
there shall be an examining board to be known as the board of
electrical examiners, consisting of the chief electrical inspector
as ex officio secretary, and in addition thereto two master electricians,
each of whorn shall have had ten years of electrical experience and
shall maintain an established place of busine3s located within the
following boundaries: NORTH BOUNDARY, a straight line along
Curlew Road extending West to the Gulf of Mexico and East to
the Hillsborough County Line; SOUTH BOUNDARY, a straight
line along Ulnnerton Road, extending iffiest to the Gulf of 1%/Iexico
and East to Tampa Bay; TEST BOUNDARY, the Gulf of Mexico
and EAST BOUNDARY, Tampa Bay; and one juorneyman electrician
who shall have had five years electrical experience; and one
layman. The chief electrical inspector, one master electrician,
and one layman shall be appointed by the city manager; one master
electrician shall be elected by the duly qualified master electricians
of the city and one journeyman electrician shall be elected by
the duly qualified journeyman electricians of the city.
Section 2. Section 7-64, Inspection and Permits--Initial Fees of
Division 2--Electrical Code, of Article III pertaining to Electricity, of the
Code Af Ordinances, City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby amended
to.read as follows:
