OF CLEARWATER BAY AND THE ELF OF MEXICO; PROVIDING
FOR THE POSTING OF SAID SPEED LIMITS IN SAID AREAS;
PROVIDING PUNISHMENT FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES 623 AND 633 OR

'4fs'Y<< 3T BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER FLORIDA:
'?• »4u" SECTION 1. No person shall operate any motor boat or any vessel
in the waters within the City limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida

{.a.:F and in waters over which the City of Clearwater has any jurisdiction
whatsoever in a reckless or negligent manner so as to endanger the life,
limb, or property of any person.
SECTION II, No person shall operate a boat or allow a boat to be
?.?.s,i,as._,?, _,, ;..;•;{ operated in those portions of Clearwater Bay and the Gulf of Mexico

,,.,..4 , , yacht or boating club docks or
anchorages, or public property at a speed greater than the maximum speed
designated for the area by the Harbormaster or, in his absence the Chief
of Police of the of •
City Clearwater, Florida.
SECTION III.-The Harbormaster or, in his absence, the Chief of Police
"•?'"' for the City of Clearwater, Florida, shall designate appropriate areas in
the waters of Clearwater Bay and the Gulf of Mexico in which areas it is
reasonable and appropriate that the speed of boats be controlled. The
Harbormaster or, in his absence, the Chief of Police for the City of Clear-
t water, Florida, shall establish the speed limit for boats operated within
r twr; such areas, and the said Harbormaster or, in his absence, the Chief of
Police of the City of Clearwater, Florida, shall post or cause to be posted
in said areas the speed limit established for each of said areas.
SECTION IV. Any persons who shall violate any of the provisions of
this Ordinance shall upon conviction thereof, be punished as provided by
in Section 8 of Chapter I of "The Code of the City of Clearwater, Florida,

SECTION V. Each word, phrase, sentence or Section of this Ordinance
shall be severable and the invalidity of any word,
