ORDINANCE 716
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A PORTION OF
ACREAGE KNOWN AS EAST DRUID ESTATES
INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER FLORIDA ACCORDING TO
THE PROVISION. OF SECHON 171.04,
--, FLORIDA STATUTES, AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, enacted Ordinance No. 712, on June 25, 1956, which
ordinance declared the intention of the said City to annex a
portion of acreage known as East Druid Estates, into the cor-
porate limits of the City of Clearwater, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance was published once a week for four
consecutive weeks in the Clearwater Sun, a newspaper published
in the City of Clearwater, Florida, proof of which publication
is hereto attached, and
WHEREAS, more than thirty days has expired since the en-
actment of Ordinance No. 712,-and no registered voter of the City
of Clearwater, no owner of real estate inthe territory to be an-
nexed, and no person whomsoever has objected to such annexation
or'has applied to the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judidial Circuit
in and for Pinellas County, Florida, setting forth any objections
to said annexation, and
WHEREAS, all of the provisions of Section 171.04 Florida
Statutes, have been complied with,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CONMISSIONEHS
OF THE CITY OR CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City of Clearwater, acting by and through
its City Commission, by the authority and under the provisions
of Section 171.04, Florida Statutes, hereby annexes into the cor-
porate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and redefines
the boundary lines of said City so as to include therein the fol-
lowing:
From the Northwest corner of the SOUTHEAST QUARTER
(SW of Section 13, Township 29 South, Range 15 East;
run-South 0 deg. 391 5511 East along the North andSouth
Center line of said Section 13, a distance of 1329.43 feet
to the 40 acre line; thence South 89 deg. 13t 5111 East;
along the 40 acre line 31.0 feet for P.O.B.;-thenceSouth'
89 deg. 131 5111 East, along the 40 acre line 451.14.feet;
thence. South 0 deg. 29, 4711 West 260.0 feet; thence South
89 deg. 131 5111 East 210.0.feet; thence South 0 deg. 2911
4711 West 420.0 feet; thence North 89 deg- 13.1 51T1 West
663.22 feet ; thence North 0 deg. 401 1511 East 6304 feet
to P.O.B.; less the North 330.0 feet now lying within
the City of Clearwater city limits.
Said properties constituting a portion of lands which
the owners have indicated are to be platted and known
as East Druid Estates.
Section 2. The foregoing property is hereby zoned as
follows and the City Erigineer is hereby directed to incorporate
