BE IT ORDAINED BY TIME CITY COIi1118SION OF TIM CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. CIcIiZZ TO WHICH APPLICABLE. This ordinance shall
apply to every person who has been convicted in any Federal Court
or the Court of any state within ten (16) years prior to his
arrival in the City of Clearwater, Florida, of any of the folyow-
r ing crimes: Grand larceny, burglary, counterfeiting, obtaining
money by false pretense or by false personation, robbery, arson,
murder, kidnaping, taking or enticing any person for the purpose
of obtaining ransom, extortion, forgery, violation, of any lair pro-
hibiting hibiting the carrying of deadly weapons, violation of any provision
of any National or State law relating to the possession, transporta-
tion or sale of any narcotic, felo.nious or aggravated assault,
crime against nature, mayhem, violation of any provistl.oiz of any
,. National or State law prohibiting the transportation of any female

from state to state or otherwise for imnoral purposes, keepers of
kJ i, brothels or houses of ill fame, miscegenation, rape, or any other
act constituting a felony under the lams of the State of Florida.

and shall furnish to the Chief of Police, in a written statement,

signed by himself, the following inforination: His true. name and
each other name or alias by which lie is or has been known; a full
={ and complete description of himself; the name of each crime enumerated
' in Section 1 hereof, of which lie shall have been convicted, together
with the name of the place where each such crime was committed, the
name under which lie was convicted and the date of the conviction
therefor; the name, if any, and the location of each prison, re-
formatory or other penal institution in which he shall have been
confined as punishment therefor; the location or address of his
residence, stopping place or living quarters in the City and each
one thereof, if any, or the address or location of his intended
residence, stopping place or living quarters in the City and each
one thereof, with a description of the character of each such place,

whether a hotel, apartment house, dwelling house or otherwise, the
street number thereof, if any, or any descriptions of the address
or location thereof as will so identify the same as to make possible
of locationf r?he length of time for which he expects or 'intends to''
reside within the territorial boundaries of the City.
Section 3. PHOTOGRAPHING AND FINGERPRINTING. At the time.of
furnishing such information as required by the preceding section,
said person shall be photographed and fingerprinted by the Chief
of Police, and said photograph and fingerprints shall be made a
part of the permanent records of the Police Department of the City
of Clearwater.
Section 4. CHANGE OF ADDRESS. In the event that any person
herein specified as required to register, shall change his place
of residence, stopping place or laving quarters to any new or
different place within the City other than the place last reported
to the Chief of Police, in such report herein provided for, such
person shall, Within twenty-four (24) hours after removing himself
from the place of abode first given, notify the Chief of Police,
in a written and signed statement of such change of address, and
shall furnish in such written statement his new address, and each
one thereof.

or to furnish in making any such report any false, untrue or mis-
leading information or statement- relating to any information re-
quired by the provisions of this ordinance.

Section b. FAILURE TO C01-iPLY. It shall be unlawful for any
person required by any provision of this ordinance to furnish any
,report or to furnish any such information; photograph or finger-
prints, to fail, neglect or refuse to render or furnish the same
within the time prescribed in this ordinance.
Section 7. IIOT APPLICABLE TO PARDONED PERSONS. Nothing in
this ordinance shall be deemed or construed to apply to any person
who has or shall have received a pardon for each such crime whereof
he shall have been convicted.
Section $. PRESERVATION OF PEACE, 117ELFARE AND SAFETY, It is
hereby declared by the City Commission of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, that by reason of the fact that many of the,crimes herein
enumerated are of great danger to this community and have been and
are being committed by habitual and dangerous criminals travc?ing
from place to place throughout the United States and the State of
Floridh, and because there is no means whereby the peace officers
of the City may be apprized of the arrival into the City or the
presence in the City of such criminals until after a crime shall
have been committed by them, and, because the undisclosed presence
of such criminals within the City will constitute a serious manace
to the safety, and welfare of the citizens of, the City, it is the
intention of the Commission, through the police powers of the City
to preserve by this ordinance the public peace, welfare and safety
of its citizens.
Section 9. REPEAL. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith or inconsistent with the provisions of this.
Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of thei.r'conflict.

Section 10. Should any traction paragraph, sentence phrase,
clause or other part or provision of this ordinance be declared by
.' any Court to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity
of the Ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof, other than the
part declared to be invalid.
Section 11. Any per`=son violating any provision of this
:. ':. ,...'„ 'ordinance upon conviction thereof shall be subject to a fine not 'to
exceed One Hundred. Dollars ( 4o100.00) or imprisonment for a period
not to exceed thirty (30) days, or both, in the discretion oil the
t sf; Judge of the Municipal Court. Each day a violation of this ordinance
