AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.1 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 1+39, THE CITY SANITARY S- ORDINANCE, AND
SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 5729 BY CHANGING THE
METHOD OF COLLECTION AND,THE AMOUNT OF CONNECTION
CHARGES AND FEES.
. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
'3. SECTION 1. That Section 11 of Ordinance 439, being the City Sanitary
Sewer Ordinance be, and the same is hereby amended to road as followa:
"Section 11 (a) Any person or persons, firm or corporation, who
desires to connect its property, place of business or residence
with the sanitary sewerage system of the City of Clearwater shall

comply with the provisions of this Ordinance, and shall pay the
connection charges as hereinafter set out.
(b) Tapping of all sanitary sewer mains and service connection
from the mains to the curb line of private property will be done
and installed by the Department of Public Service of the City of
Clearwater. Title to all connections and services from the sewer
main to the curb line is rested in the City, and the same shall
at all times so remain and shall not be trespassed upon or inter-
fered with in any respect. This property shall be maintained by
the Department of Public Service and may be removed or changed
by it at any time.
(c) The Department of Public Service will furnish and install
necessary, pipe, fittings and equipment to provide the requested
service in accordance with the provisions of the City Plumbing
Code, type and location of,sanitary sewer mains and sound
engineering practice. The City Manager shall establish and he is
hereby specifically authorized and empowered to establish the charge
or charges which the department shall make for such materials. All
charges for services and materials furnished under this section to
property lying outside the limits of the City of Clearwater shall
be increased by 25 per cent over charges made for similar services
and materials furnished within the City of Clearwater."
SECTION 2. X11 Ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
passage.
