PAYING RENTAL THEREFOR; PROHIBITING MOTOR VEHICLES FRCK .
BEING ON THE SAID DOCKS;' PROVIDING PUNISHMT FOR VIOLATION
OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR NEPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES ICE CONFLICT HEREWITH; APIA . PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SAID ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:

SECTION I. The City Manager or his representative is hereby authorized
and empowered to rent the boat slips, docking space, and space on and adjacent
to the dock owned by the City, located in front of, and due West of the City
Auditorium, and the City Manager or his representative may rent said boat slips
and docking space either to commercial craft or pleasure craft; provided, however
that one-third of the said boat slips and docking space is hereby set aside and
reserved for commercial craft, and two-thirds of the said boat slips and docking
space are hereby reserved for pleasure craft; and further provided, that the City
Manager or his representative shall rent the portion of said boat slips and dock-
ing space set aside for commercial craft only to the type of commercial craft
known and operated as "open party boats", "charter boats" and small boats"for
hire"; provided, however, that only month-to-month tenancy shall be created
hereunder.
SECTION II. No person shall dock a boat of any kind or nature at the
aforesaid boat slips or docking spaces for a period longer than four (4.) hours
without first obtaining written permission from the City Manager or his repre-
sentative; and without first having paid the City Manager or his representative
the rental. for the use of said boat slips or docking spaces.
SECTION III. No motor vehicle shall. be allowed on the said docks at
any time.
• SECTION IV. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of
this Ordinance shall. upon conviction thereof, be punished as provided by
Section 8 of Chapter I of "The Code of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1950.1'
SECTION V. Chapter V of "The Code of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
1950," and all other Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
' SECTION VI. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and
upon its publication by title as is provided by law, whichever is the latter.
