CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, EN11ftEM ORDINANCE
REGULATING TAE BALE OF INTOXICATING BEVERAGES, FIX-
ING THE LMAL HOUiS OF SALE; AND PROVIDINU PENALTIES
FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE."
BE IT ORDAnTED BY THE CITY CW4,Q8SION OF THE CITY OF CLEWATER, FLORIDA:
. That Ordinance No. 421 A of the City of Clearwater, Florida, entitled
"An Ordinance Regulating the Sale of Intoxicating Beverages, Fixing the Legal
Hours or Sale and Providing Penalties for the Violation of this Ordinance" be
and it is hereby amended to read as follows;
Section 1. The sale and distribution of alcholia beverages within the
City of Clearwater on weak days between the hours of 1;00 o'clock A M and 8:00
o'clock A M., and between the hours of 1:00 o'ajook A. M. on Sunday and 8:00
o'clock A. U. on Unnday is hereby prohibited. rovided, however, that the sale
of beer and wino shall be permitted between the hours of 1:00 o'clock, A. U. and
12:00 O'clock P. Lto on Sundaye.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effeottve immediately on its
paseege and adoption by tho City Commission of the City of Olearrmter, lorida.
Section; 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the soma are hereby repealed.

TEE CLF^•A 1A'= RECREATION BOARD, having coae to the conclusion that
tennis deserves more attention as an important part of the Recreation Program
of the City, recommerds:
1. That the two clay courts adjacent to the Auditorium be immediately
reconditioned and
2. That the City employ under the jurisdiction of the Recreation
Department and under the supervisi:n of the Recreation Director,
Eddie Collins Moore, a man trained in tannin and the maintenance
of tennis facilities and that such peregn be paid on the wage
basis of City employees serving in the aerention Department, and
that, his duties shall include the aupar7ision and maintenance of
courts and the arrangement for syutamatic use thereof.
3. That the City not upon the suggestion of the Clearwater Tannin
Club that this position be offered to Bill Rousaeait, a native at
Clearwater, who is troll qualified for this position and who will
work in harmony with the Director .
4. That tha City of Clearwater accept the offer of the Clearwater
Tennis Club to oentribute the eum of $500.00 for the current year
in view of the initial expense in connection Mith the recond.ition"-
ing of the Flay courts and not less than $250.00 per year there-
after, the lub to sponsor tourrswa is and cooperate in every way
to prcmate this phase of the Recreation Program; that the purchase
of lights and reflectors be provided for end that the awn of $1500.00
be not up as a fund for th_ls particular year by the City.
