In all such cases the applicant shall file with the city Clerk an affidavit stating as accurately as possible the value of the stock of merchandise on hand as of the first day of the license year, and also stating the exact value of the stock of merchandise as shown by the last merchandise inventory taken by the applicant. Any ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the sacra are hereby repealed. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption by the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida. The question of resignation of C. Raymond Lee from the Civil service Board coming before the Board, mayor Seavy sweated that the resignation be accepted and that F. S1. Hendry be considered for the position. Moved by D. C• Smith, seconded by Sumner R. Lowe and carried that the resignation of t•r. Lee be accepted and that F. 1.1. Hendry be appointed to the unexpired tarn of Ur. Lee, said terra expiring duly 20F, 1944. Below is Dot out such resolution: RESOLUTION RP.LATIHO TO UTILIZATION OF PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, MASTFR AIR PORT AS A PORT OF ENTRY FOR CENTRAL AND SOUTH A1,MRICA7 AND AFRICAN POST WA.R TRADE EXPANSION PROGRAM WHEREAS Pinellas County, Florida, ban constructed and turned over to the Army a large and ideally situated air port with combined land and water facilities; and 1'AlEREAS federal authorities are now thinking in terms of post wnr trade and commercial air expansion with the countries of Central America, South America , and Africa; and %VjZREAS the selection of a Luster Air Field for such purposes, to be designated as a port of entry, has been narrowed down to three locations in the state of Florida, one of which is Pinellas County and Its air port facilities; and VgaN .AS the people of Pinellas County are definitely interested in having the Pinellas County Luster Air Port designated a port of entry; NOW, THERUORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COL21ISSIOU OF THE CITY OF CLEARNATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the denibnation of the Pinellas County Master Air Port as a port of entry in the above mentioned post war air commercial expansion program is reoomnended and strongly urged by the City Commission of the City of %;lean4uter. Section 2. That a copy of this resolution be furnished to the Honorable Claude Popper and the Honorable 0. 0. Andrews, United States Senators from Florida, to the Honorable J.
