AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING., FCR AND FIXING A LICENSE}.rT'OR THE
SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES

' Be it Ordained by the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, Florida;
f Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or

corporation, or the agent, servant or employee of such, to

sell or offer for sale, or dispense any intoxicating liquors,
or wines or beer of greater than 4% alcoholic content; by
volume, within the City of Clearwater, until after such person,
firm or corporation shall have applied for and obtained a
license from the City Tax Collector as provided by ordinance.
Section 2. A license fee of Two Hundred Dollars shall
be charged and collected from all persons, firms or corporations
of
engaging in the sale/or dispensing intoxicating liquors., or wines
or beer of greater than 4% alcoholic content, by volume, for
each place of business in said City, wUch said license shall
expire on the first day of June, 1935, at midnight.
Section. 3. Said intoxicating liquors, wines or beer shall
be sold in the manner now provided by the laws of the State
of Florida.
Section 4. Any license issued uhfier the provisions of
this Ordinance may, in the discreation of the Municipal Judge,
be declared forfeited and void, if the person, firm or corporation
holding said license, ob the agent, servant or employe of such,
shall be found guilty of a violation of any of the provisions
hereof, and such person, firm or corporation, or the agent,
servant or employe of such, shall, upon conviction, be further
punished by a fine not exceeding $250.00 or imprisonment
,for not exceeding sixty days, or by both such fine and imprison-
ment, in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
Section S.,This' Ordinance shall take effect immediately
