AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FARMERS ' CURB
MARKET IN THE CITY OF CLEARWATER# FLOP-TDA ,AND PRESCRIBING ITS
1 REGULATIONS.
BE IT OrIDAIl1ED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City of Clearwater shall hereafter permit the '

maintenance upon the terms 4ereinefter designated of a public

market for the sale of garden, farm , grove and household products
and articles made from the some to be known a s the "Farmers'
Curb Marketti.
Section T1% Said market shall be under the supervision of a Board
of Managers, to consist of three responsible citizens to be appoint-
ed by the Mayor commissioner , onr to serve for one year, one for
two years, and one for three years, and thereafter one for each year
to serve for three years, any vancancy to be fil&ed by appointment
of the Mayor Cormnissioner. All members of said Board shall serve with-
out compensations
Section Imo. Said market shall be established on the vacant lot
east of the City Hall until such tires as the City Commission shall
cause it bo be removed elsewhere. It shall be kept open only on such
days and at such time or hours as the Board of Managers shall direct.
,F Section 1V No person shall be permitted to sell articles, or
' offer the same for sale at acid market, or to occupy space there-
at for such purposes, until a permit shall have been procured there
for from the Board of Managers. No permit shall be issued except
to such' persons as are, under Chapter 6924 of the Lags of Florida,
exempt from license taxes; and no such permit shall be issued for
a longer term than one year, Such permit shall authorize only the

sale of farm , garden , grove and household products, and products
manufactured therefrom.
Section. V Such permit,shall be issued without fee or charge, but
every person selling, or offering to sell articles at such market,

bursed by the Board of Managers for the maintenance and promotion
od 'sai.d market. A full report of all receipts and disbursements
shall be made to the City Commission yearljr or whenever called for
by them.
Section Vl. The), Board of Managers may make reasonable rules and
p regulations governing the said market and may promulgate the same by
posting one or more copies at said markets-+, or by delivery to the marks- .
ters in person. Each marketer shall observe such rules ad regulations
and upon his failure to do soy or upon his failure to observe any
.' . provision of this ordinance, his permit may be revoked by the Board
of Managers.
Section Vll. Anyone violating any provision of this ordinance shall
be punished by a fine of not exceeding One Hundred Dollars or by
imprisonment for not exceeding thirty days, or both. { •"'•. „"
