AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OWMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER
! FLORIDA, TO BE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE TERRITORIAL
LIMITS OF THE CITY W CLEARWATER. FLORIDA".
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, desires to change
its territorial limits by the annexation of the unincorporated
tracts of land lying contiguous to the said city of Clearwater,
and within the County of Pinellas, and

.? WHEREAS, there are more than ten(10) registered voters residing
in said territory so desired to be annexed,

THE CITY OF CLEARVIATER0 FLORIDA:
SECTIO14 1. That it is hereby declared to be the desire and

intention of the City of Clearwater, Florida, to extend its !
territorial limits by the annexation of the territory herein '
described, which said'territory is unincorporated and lying
contiguous to the City of Clearwater, Florida, and within the #
County of Pinellas, there being more than ten(10) registered
voters residing in said territory, said territory being particularly
described as follows to-wit;
"All of the territory lying between the present city limits
of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and the following described
boundary, to-wit: Beginning at a point 30 feet south of a point
which is 455 feat crest of the northeast oorner of the southwest
q uarter of the northeast quarter of Section 23., Township 29, South
of Range 15 East, said point being the center of "A" Street and
Fourth Avenue prolonged according to the map of Belleair, run thence
South s05 feet, thence East 316 feet, thence South 600 feet, thence f
East 109 feet to the west line of Fort Harrison AvenueiGriorrn as
Third Avenue as per said map of Belleair, thence south along the
west line of Fort Harrison Avenues 1081 feet more or leas to the
center of "B" 88treet, projected, according to said trap of Belleair
thence west to the west line of the right of way of the Tampa &
Gulf Coast Railroad, thence southerly along the crest line of the f'.
right of way .of T, & G. C. R. R. to the intersection of the said t?
west line of the said right of way with the south boundary of
Section 21, Township 290 South Range 15, East, Thence east to the
FE Southeast corner of Section 22, Township and Range aforesaid,
thence north to the northeast corner of said Section 22, thence
east to the southeast corner of Section 14, said Township and range,
thence north to the southeast corner of Section 2, said Township
and Range, thence west to the southwestcorner of said Section 2,

SECTION 2. The City Co=ission does hereby deolare its intent-
ion to annex said traot of land to said city and to extend the
f corporate limits of said city so as to embrace the wholo and each
and every part of said territory, subject of the approval of tho
election herein providedp
SECTION 3. A Special Election shall, be held in the said City and
in said territory for the purpose of submitting to the separate vote
of the registered voters of said City and the registered voters
residing in said territory, the question of whether said territory
shall be annexed to the said city ant the territorial limits of

said city shall be extended so as to embrace said territory,
Said election shall be held on the 11th day of November, 1924, and
the polling place at which the registered voters of said city skull
cast their ballots in said election shall bo the City Hall in the
City of Clearwater, Florida, and the polling place at which the regi-
stered voters residing in the said territory shall cast their
ballots in said election shall be In Barryts storei.n said territory.
The polls shall be open at said polling places at 8 O'clock
in the forenoon, or as soon after as practical, and close at
sundown.
Mann Drew and-Mrs, N. A. Hamman and Alfred C. Turner
are hereby appointed inspectors, and Mrs. C. H. Evans is hereby
appointed clerk of said election for the purpose of holding
said election in said city„ and Tom Roberts and R. U. Lawrence
and J. 0. Morgan are hereby appointed inspectors, and
R. L. Sumner is hereby appointed clerk of tho election for the
purpose of holding said election in said territory(at the polling
place in said ) territory aforesaid, Said inspectors and said
clerks shall hold said election in accordance with law and make
the returns as required by law. And if the said inspectors and
clerks, or either of them, cannot act, or will not act, other
inspectors and olerks.may be appointed do discharge such duties.
Ballots to be used in said election shall be substantially the
following form:

TERRITORY.
Each elector shall prepare his ballot by making a
cross mark(X) before the answer he desires.
Shall the following described territory(Here described
territory set forth in Section One) be annexed to the City of
Clearwater, Florida, and the territorial limits of said city
be extended so as to embrace said territory.

SECTION 4. IF a majority of two thirds of the registered voters
actually voting in election in said city and in said territory
shall be for the annexation of the said territory then this
ordinance shall become and be effective on the 13th day of
November, 1924,and the corporate limits of said city in that
event skull be and are hereby extended so as, to embrace said
territory and each and every part thereof; but 4f tho majority
of two thirds of said registered voters actually voting in said
election in said city and said territory shall not be in favor
of annexation of said territory then this Ordinance shall there-
upon be void and of no effect.
SECTION b. This Ordinance shall be published in. the "Clearwater'

Evening Suh",a newspaper of genral circulation published in the
city, once a week for four(4) consecutive vreeks prior to the
