An Ordinance to be Entitled An Ordinance Regulating the Use of
Water During Fires in the City of Clearwater and Providing a
?-° Penalty for the Violation Thereof.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER:
SECTION One: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or `
corporation to use any water supplied by the City through its water--
workssystem during such time any fire is within the city limits shall
be burning, except for necessary household and commercial purposes.
..-?` SECTION TIM: It shall be the duty of all persons, firms or
corporations using water supplied through the City waterworks system
immediately upon hearing the Fire Deparitment sound a fire alarm to
shut off the flow of all water which is not necessary for household
end commercial purposes, and the flow of water for such purposes
shall be prohibited until the Fire Department shall sound its signal

that the said fire is extinguished.
SECTION THREE:It Shall be the duty of the Fire Department
of the City immediately upon receiving a fire call to sound the
alarm and when said fire shall have been extinguished it shall immed-
iately sound the signal to thet?.effect
SECTION FOUR: Any person , fixV or corporation found
any provision of
guilty of a violation of/this Ordinance shall be punished by fine
not exceeding $100.00 or imprisonment in the City Sail, or at labor

upon the public works of said City not exceeding thirty days or/both
such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Municipal judge. ?
