WHEREAS, the City Commission at its meeting held August 5, 1982r°.'^E?ry
approved an increase of the occupational license registration fee from $5. 00
to $10. 00; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Section 71, 01 Required of the
Code of Ordinances in order to accomplish such increase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That subparagraph (c) of Section 71.01 Required of
Chapter 71, Licenses of the Code of Ordinances, City of Clearwater, be
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 71.01 Required.
(c) Any person who does not maintain a permanent business location
or branch office within the city but who desires to transact any
business or engage in any occupation or profession named in this
chapter within the city, shall register with the finance director,
or his representative, the license of that municipality or other
governmental subdivision in which he does maintain a permanent
business location. Such registration shall be accomplished prior
to the commencement of the business, shall be subject to a
registration fee of €i?e-de la??e-($?.-04}s ten dollars.($10.00] and
shall be valid from date of issuance to the next succeeding
October first.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any part or provision of this ordinance be declared
by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof other than the
part declared to be invalid.
