AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING A PORTION OF SECTION 36, TOWNSHIP 28
SOUTH, RANGE 15 EAST, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA,
INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CLEAR-
WATER, FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY
LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID ADDITION ACCORDING
TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA;
AFTER PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING
THEREON, ESTABLISHING THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSI-
FICATION FOR SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR PROPER'
NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from First Church of God Clearwater, Florida,
Inc. requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described
hereinafter, owned by it, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on November 16, 1978, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classification and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on January 4, 1979, the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of fire district classifications for said
real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Chapter 171. 044,
Florida Statutes, hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of

Clearwater, Florida, and redefines the, boundary lines of said City so as
to include the following described parcels of real property in Pinellas
County, Florida, and establishes fire district classification therefor,
Part of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section
36, Township 28 South, Range 15 East, Pinellas County,
Florida, beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southeast
1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 36 and run N 69`
18116" W, along said Section line, 33.00 feet; thence
N 0000810511 W, parallel to the North-South centerline of
said Section 36, 33.00 feet, for a P. O, B. ; continue
N 00.0810511 W, 312.00 feet; thence N 5300412111 W, 33.84
feet; thence N 89'18,16" W, parallel to the Section line,
428. 00 feet; thence "S 0000810511 E, parallel to the North-
South centerline of Section 36, 332.00 feet; thence
S 89018116 " E, parallel to the Section line, 455.00 feet
to the P. 0. B.
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. 1,
Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law, accepts the dedication of, all easements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the. City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official, maps
and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the fire
district classification therefor.

Section 4. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment of
same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in
accordance with Chapter 166. 041, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 171. 044,
Florida Statutes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and
a copy thereof being filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of

Pinellas County. Florida. In accordance with Chapter 171.091, and Chapter
171.044, Florida Statutes, a certified copy shall, be filed with the Department .

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from First Church of God Clearwater, Florida,
Inc. requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described
hereinafter, owned by it, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on November 16, 1978, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classification and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance

Florida, beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southeast
1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 36 and run N 89'

said Section 36, 33.00 feet, for a P. O. B.; continue

The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. 1.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law, accepts the dedication of all easements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official maps
and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the fire
district classification therefor.
Section 4. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment of
same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in
accordance with Chapter 166.041, Florida Statutes, and-Chapter 171.044,
Florida Statutes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and
a copy thereof being filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
