AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER FLORIDA
COMPLYING WITH THE "LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPRE-
HENSIVE PLANNING ACT OF 197511, AS AMENDED;
ADOPTING THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION ELEMENT AS
PART OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE ENTIRE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA; ADOPTING THE ATTACHED
EXHIBIT; PROVIDING FOR PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE,

OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The historic preservation element of the comprehensive ; ,,•- •° - - °?;?",
plan as required by the "Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act of ?
197511, as amended, and as set forth in the attached exhibit, described as:
Composite Exhibit A - Document entitled "Historic
Preservation Element", consisting of a table of
contents sheet and 48 pages,
is adopted in accordance with the "Local Government Comprehensive Planning
Act of 197511, as amended, for the entire City of Clearwater, Florida.
, Section Z. The attached exhibit described as:
Composite Exhibit A - Document entitled "Historic
Preservation Element", consisting of a table of
contents sheet and 48 pages,
is adopted as part of this ordinance as if it was set forth in full herein.
Section 3. For the purposes of this ordinance, the area encompassed
by this ordinance shall be described as:
The entire area within the present boundaries of the
City of Clearwater as such boundaries are expanded and
redefined by future annexations, and the City of Clearwater
service area which service area is further described as follows:
Bounded on the West by the Gulf of Nexico, on the North by
the centerline of Dunedin Pass; thence Southeasterly to a point
in St. Joseph's Sound approximately 700 feet Southeast of
Moonshine Island, excluding Moonshine Island; thence due East
through St. Joseph's Sound and along Union Street to Keene Road;
thence due North to County Road 34; thence due East to the
Southerly extension of County Road 70; thence due North along
County Road 70 to State Road 580; thence due East to U. S. Highway
19, excluding the Dunedin Industrial Park, thence due North to
Curlew Creek Road; thence due East to McMullen-Booth Road;
thence due South approximately 5,400 feet to City-owned property;
thence due East approximately 2, 200 feet; thence due South
approximately 2, 200 feet to State Road 580; thence West and
' Southwest to McMullen-Booth Road; thence due South to the
centerline of Alligator Creek; thence East along Alligator
Creek and the southern shore of Alligator Lake and Arlie Drive

Section 4, All required and optional elements and parts of the Comprehensive Plan as required or allowed by the "Local Government

Comprehensive Planning Act of 197511, as amended, which are get forth in
the attached exhibit adapted herein, are hereby adopted as part of this ordinance. ,
Section 5, All development undertaken and all actions taken in regard
to development orders, all land development regulations enacted or amended
shall be consistent with this Plan and such element and part thereof in regard
to the land covered by this element andportions of the Comprehensive Plan
as hereby adopted shall be consistent with this Plan and each element and
part thereof.
Section 6. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has
been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance
with Section 166.041, Florida Statutes.
Section 7. All public hearings and public participation required
pursuant to Section 163. 3181, Florida Statutes, and Section 163. 3184, Florida
Statutes, has preceded the consideration of this ordinance.
Section 8. This ordinance is hereby adopted and shall be considered
henceforth adopted for the purposes of Section 163. 3184 (7), Florida Statutes,
and shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
