WHEREAS, based on the taxable value provided by the Pinellas County Property

Appraiser, 4.303 mills are necessary to generate $11,2420196;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
0 OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section I. That it is hereby determined that a tax of 4.303 mills against the real and
3?E personal property within the City not exempt from taxation by law, Is necessary to raise
' +t said sums appropriated for operation purposes, including pensions and debt service, road and
drainage capital improvement projects and library system improvements.
Section 2. That 4.303 mills constitutes a 2.4% increase over the rolled back rate.
Section 3. Should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or any other part or
provision of this ordinance be declared by any court to be invalid, the some shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof, other than the part declared to
be invalid.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith or inconsistent
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of their conflict.
Section 5. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has been properly
advertised in a newspaper of general circulation In accordance with Section 166.041, Florida
Statutes.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
