WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Alfred C. Coffman and Lorraine M.
Coffman, his wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of
real estate described hereinafter, owned by them, into the corporate
limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on April 19, 1984,
voted unanimously to accept said request and authorized the
proper officials to set up a public hearing thereon for the
determination and establishing of fire district classification and
to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel of real estate into
the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance with
the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on June 7, 1984, the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing
for the determination and establishment of fire district classi-
fication for said real property; and
WHEREAS, the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act
(LGCPA) requires that all development regulations and amendments
thereto related to an adopted comprehensive plan or element thereof
be reviewed by the Local Planning Agency (LPA) for conformance with
plans adopted pursuant to the LGCPA; and
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Planning Council (PCPC) has been
designated the Local Planning Agency for Pinellas County and the
PCPC has adopted guidelines with reference to such required referral
process; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been referred to and considered by
the PCPC under said process;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at
a proper public hearing, the City'of Clearwater, acting by and
through its City Commission, by the authority and under the pro-
visions of Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, hereby annexes into
the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and re-
defines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the
following described real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and
establishes fire district classification therefor:
The Northerly 123 feet of the following described
tract:
From the SE corner of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of
Section 1, Township 29 South, Range 15 East, run
N 00°17'48" W along the North-South Centerline of
said Section 1, 511.50 feet; thence N 89°21'54" W,
parallel to the South line of the said SE 1/4 of the
SW 1/4 of Section 1, 720.97 feet; thence continue
N 89°21'54" W, 631.26 feet; thence run N 00°12'55" W,
along the West line of the said SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4
of Section 1, 148.48 feet for a P.O.B.; thence continue
N 00°12'55" W, 221.00 feet; thence run S 89°14'24" E,
190.02 feet; thence run S 00°12'55" E along the Westerly
right-of--way line of Calumet Street, 221.00 feet; thence
run N 89°14'24" W, 190.02 feet to the P.O.B.
TOGETHER WITH:

to the LPA for their receipt and appropriate action.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby formally and according
to law, accepts the dedication of all easements, streets,parks,
plazas, places, rights-of-way and other dedications to the public
which have heretofore been made by plat, deed or user within the
areas so annexed.

Section 4. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the
official maps and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing
property and the fire district classification therefor.
Section 5. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment
of same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general
` circulation in accordance with Section 166,041, Florida Statutes,
and Section 171.044, Florida Statutes.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance
Book and a copy thereof being filed with the City Clerk for recording
in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Pinellas County,
Florida. In accordance with Section 171.091, and Section 171.044,
Florida Statutes, a certified copy shall be filed with the Depart-
ment of State of the State of Florida.

Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at
a proper public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and
through its City Commission, by'the authority and under the pro-
visions of Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, hereby annexes into
the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and re-
defines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the
following described real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and
establishes fire district classification therefor:
The Northerly 123 feet of the following described
tract:
From the SE corner of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of
Section 1, Township 29 South, Range 15 East, run
N 00°17'48" W along the north-South Centerline of
said Section 1, 511.50 feet; thence N 89°21'54" W,
arallel to the South line of the said SE 1/4 of the
W 1/4 of Section 1, 720.97 feet; thence continue
N 89°21'54" W, 631.26 feet; thence run N 00°12'55" W,
along the West line of the said SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4
of Section 1, 148.48 feet for a P.O.B.; thence continue
N 00°12'55" W, 221.00 feet; thence run S 89°14'24" E,
190.02 feet; thence run S 00°12'55" E along theiWesterly
right-of-.way line of Calumet Street, 221.00 feet; thence
run N 89°14'24" W, 190.02 feet to the P.O.B.
TOGETHER WITH:
From the SE corner of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/'4 of Section

Section 2. The City of Clearwater does hereby certify that the
measu.res contained in this ordinance are consistent and in conformance
with the City's Comprehensive Plan and individual elements thereof
adopted pursuant to the LGCPA and directs that same be forwarded
to the LPA for their receipt and appropriate action.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby formally and according
to law, accepts the dedication of all easements, streets,parks,
plazas, places, rights-of-.way and other dedications to the public
which have heretofore been made by plat, deed or-user within the
areas so annexed..

Section 4. The City-.Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the
official maps and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing
property and the'fire district classification therefor.
Section 5. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment s
of same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general
circulation in accordance with section 166,041, Florida Statutes,
and Section 171.044, Florida Statutes.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance
Book and a copy the being filed with the City Clerk for recording
in the office'of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Pinellas County,
Florida. 'In accordance with Section 171.091, and Section 171.044,
Florida.Statutes,'a certified copy shall be filed with the Depart-
ment of State of the State of Florida.
