ORDINANCE NO. 3426-84
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2019, RELATING TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, TO
CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF CLEARWATER;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES;
PROVIDING FOR PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act (LGCPA)
requires that all development regulations and amendments thereto related to an
adopted comprehensive plan or element thereof be reviewed by the Local Planning
Agency (LPA) for conformance with plans adopted pursuant to the LGCPA; and
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Planning Council (PCPC) has been
designated the Local Planning Agency for Pinellas County and the PCPC has adopted
guidelines with reference to such required referral process; and
WHEREAS, this Ordinance has been referred to and considered by the
PCPC under said process;
NOW9 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government
.Comprehensive Planning Act, 1975, as amended, and pursuant to all applicable pro-
:: 'visions of law, Section I of Ordinance No. 2019 is amended by placing the hereinafter
i escribed property in the land use category as follows:
Property Land Use Category
(L.U.P. 83-86) That portion of Blocks A, B, From: Low Density Residential
C and D, New Country Club Addition, according
to map or plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book To: Recreation/Open Space
20, page 64, of the Public Records of Pinellas
County, Florida, lying West of Country Club
Estates as recorded In Plat Book 25, pages 43
and'44, of said Public Records and lying Eait of
Missouri Avenue and its northerly extension, less
and except the South 205 feet of said Block C.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater does hereby certify that the measures
contained in this ordinance are consistent and in conformance with the City's
Comprehensive Plan and individual elements thereof adopted pursuant to the LGCPA
and directs that same be forwarded to the LPA for their receipt and appropriate
action.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.

Section 4. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has been
properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Section
168.041, Florida Statutes.
Section 5. The provisions of this ordinance shall tape effect immediately
upon its passage.
