AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO
INCLUDE SAID ADDITION ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS
AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA; AFTER PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE
AND PUBLIC: HEARING THEREON, ESTABLISHING THE FIRE
DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION FOR SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDING
FOR PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PRO-
VIDING FOR'THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
A
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, received a sworn petition from Estate of Louise K.
Sever and South Gate Park, Inc. requesting the City to annex
certain parcels of real estate described hereinafter, owned
by them,,into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida; and
WHEREAS,the-City Commission, after due consideration of
said request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on
August 18, 1983, voted unanimously to accept said request
and authorized the proper officials to set up a public hearing
thereon for the determination and establishing of fire district
classification and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcels
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater
in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida
`Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on October 6, 1983 and on December 8, 1983,
the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, after proper
public notice, held public hearings for the determination
nd`establishment of fire district classifications for said

(LGCPA) requires that all development regulations and amendments
hereto related to an adopted comprehensive plan or element
thereof be reviewed by the Local Planning Agency (LPA) for
conformance with plans adopted pursuant to the LGCPA; and

WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Planning Council (PCPs) has
been designated the Local Planning Agency for Pinellas County
and the PCPC has adopted guidelines with reference to such
required referral process; and
WHEREAS, this Ordinance has been referred to and considered
by the PCPC under said process;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented
at proper public hearings, the City of Clearwater, acting
by and through its City Commission, by the authority and under
the provisions of Section 171.044,,.Florida Statutes, hereby
annexes into the corporate limits 'of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, and redefines the boundary lines of said City so
as to include the following described real property in Pinellas
County, Florida, and establishes fire district classification
therefor:
Commence at the SE corner of Section 18, Township
29 South, Range 16 East; thence run N 88°57'10" W,
100.00 feet, to a point on the West right-of--way
lane of U.S. 19 (S.R. 55), for a P.O.B.; thence continue
N 88°57`10" W, 991.24 feet to the East line of the
Florida Power right-of-way; thence run N 01°22'22" E,
along said East line, 1286.40 feet, to the South right--
of-way line of Druid Road; thence run S 89°19'03" E,
along said South right-of-way line, 400.00 feet; thence
run S 01°22'22" W, 100.01 feet; thence run S 89°19'03" E,-
384.60 feet; thence run S 01°03'04" W, 100.00 feet; thence
run S 89°19'03" E, 184.71 feet to the East right--of-way
line of U.S. 19 (S.R. 55); thence run along the arc of a
curve to the right,radius 755.94 feet, arc 118.32 feet,
chord 118.20 feet, chord bearing S 11°34'01.4" W; thence
run S 16°03'04" W, 117.98 feet; thence run along the arc
of a curve to the left, radius 78.00 feet, arc 134.99 feet,
chord 118.76 feet, chord bearing S 33°31'39.5" E; thence
run S 01°03'04" W, 765.08 feet to the P.O.B.; together
with the abutting right-of--way of U.S. 19.
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. 1.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater does hereby certify
that the measures contained in this ordinance are consistent
and in conformance with the city's Comprehensive Plan and individual
elements thereof adopted pursuant to the LGCPA and directs that
same be forwarded to the LPA for their receipt and appropriate
action.

the dedication of all easements, streets, parks,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public
tofore been made by plat, deed or user within the

Section 4. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the
Planning Director are directed to includeand set out and show
upon the official maps and records of the City of Clearwater
the foregoing property and the fire district classification
therefor.
Section 5. This ordinance and notice of the proposed
enactment of same has been properly advertised in a newspaper
of general circulation in accordance with Section 166.041,
Florida Statutes, and Section 171.044, Florida Statutes.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater
Ordinance'Book and a copy thereof being filed by the City
Clerk for recording in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court of Pinellas County, Florida. In accordance with Section
173'.091, and Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, a certified
copy shall be filed with the Department of State of the. State
of Florida.
