AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA REPEALING SECTIONS 74. 11 THROUGH
74.17; SECTION 74.29 THROUGH 74.37; SECTIONS
74.62 THROUGH 74.67 AND SECTIONS 74.83
THROUGH 74.87 OF CHAPTER 74 CONTRACTORS
OF TITLE VII BUSINESSES AND BUSINESS REGU-
LATIONS OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF
CLEARWATER, RELATING TO BOARD 01'EXA.MINERS;
BOARD OF ELECTRICAL EXAMINERS; BOARD OF
PLUMBING EXAMINERS AND BOARD OF EXAMINERS
OF MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS; PROVIDING FOR
PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Contractors Licensing Board has
taken over the function -of licensing duties formerly controlled by the
following Boards: Building Construction Examiners Board; Gas Fitters
Examiners Board; Plumbers Examining Board; Mechanical Contractors
Examining Board; and
WHEREAS, it is no longer necessary to have such boards in the
current city code,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY
AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 74. 11 through Section 74.17 of Division 2
Board of Examiners and Section 74. 29 through Section 74. 37 of Division 2
Board of Electrical Examiners, and Section 74. 62 through 74. 67 of Division
3 Board of Plumbing Examiners and Section 74. 83 through Section 74. 87 of
Division 3 Board of Examiners of Mechanical Contractors of Chapter 74,
Contractors of Title VII Businesses and Business Regulations of the Code
of Ordinances City of Clearwater be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 2. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has
been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance
with Section 166. 041, Florida Statutes.
Section 3. The provisions of this ordinance shall take effect im-
mediately upon its passage.
