AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ATLAS OF
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, 1981, AS
AMENDED, BY ZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY RECENTLY
ANNEXED INTO THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, AS
DESCRIBED HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH
CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR THE SEPARABILITY OF
THE PROVISIONS HEREOF; PROVIDING FOR PROPER
NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, on.Tune 4, 1981, the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of zoning classifications for certain
property annexed into the City, of Clearwater in accordance with procedure
as established; and '
WHEREAS, certain of the amendments to the zoning atlas for
establishing zoning for such newly annexed real property were approved by
the City: Commission after its evaluation of all evidence presented at the
said public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act
(LGCPA) requires that all development regulations and amendments thereto
related to an adopted comprehensive plan or element thereof be reviewed by
the Local Planning Agency (LPA) for conformance with plans adopted pursuant
to LGCPA; and
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Planning Council (PCPC) has been
designated the Local Planning Agency for Pinellas County and the PCPC'has
adopted guidelines with reference to such required referral process; and
WHEREAS, this Ordinance has been referred to and considered by
the PCPC under said process;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA;
Section 1. The following described property in Clearwater, Florida,
is hereby classified and zoned as hereinafter indicated, and "The Zoning
Atlas of the City of Clearwater, Florida of 198110, as amended, is amended
to indicate that fact as hereinafter set out: SEE 0:Z13INANCE

Zoned ISP - Institutional Semi-Public District
Begin at the NW corner of the NE 1/4 of Section 2,
Township 29 South, Range 15 East and run S 89°15!23" E,
144.0 feet to P. O. B.; thence S 89°15'23" E, 465.0 feet;
thence S 0°07'06" E, 363.0 feet; thence N 89°15'23" W,
475. 93 feet; thence N 1 *3415911 E, 363.0 feet to P. O, B. ,
less the North 33.0 feet for road right-of-way.
ALSO
From the N 1/4 corner of Section 2, Township 29 South,
Range 15 East and run S 89°15'23" E, along the North line
of the NE 1 /4 of said Section 2, 609. 0 feet; thence run
S 0°07'06" E, parallel to the West line of the NE 1/4 of
said Section 2,. 363.0 feet to the SE corner of the Union
Methodist Church property (See O. R. Book 1051, page 68
of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida) for '
P. O. B. ; thence continue S 0°07106" E, 120. 0 feet; thence
run N 89'151 23" W, 479. 50 feet; thence run N 1 ° 34159 " E,
along the Easterly line of the property of C. D. Snyder, 120. 0
feet; thence run S 89°15'23" E, along the Southerly line of
the Union Methodist Church property 475.93 feet to P. O. B.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater does hereby certify that the measures
contained in this ordinance are consistent and in conformance with the City's
Comprehensive Plan and individual elements thereof adopted pursuant to'
the LGCPA and directs that same be forwarded to the LPA for their receipt
and appropriate action.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
Section 4. Should any part or provision of this ordinance be declared
by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof other than the
part declared to be invalid.
Section 5. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has
been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance
with Section 166.041, Florida Statutes.
Section 6. The Planning Director is directed to include and set out
and show upon the official zoning atlas of the City of Clearwater the foregoing
amendment as hereinabove set out.

Section 7. The provisions of this ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage.
