2247 ORDINANCE NO, 2247 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2225 WHICH AUTHORIZED ISSUANCE TO THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD OF A DREDGING PERMIT FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF SUCH DREDGING AT A REFERENDUM; PROVIDING PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, following passage of Ordinance No. 2225, the United States Coast Guard determined that it would proceed without having to dredge; and WHEREAS, in'light of such determination it will not be necessary, to hold a referendum election in order to issue a dredging permit, since such permit will not be necessary; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section. 1. That Ordinance No. 2225 passed by the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, on October 16, 1980, be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 2. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Section 166.041, Florida Statutes. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
