AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN SECOND
AVENUE NORTH AND THIRD AVENUE NORTH, APPROXIMATELY 400
FEET EAST OF CHAUTAUQUA AVENUE, CONSISTING OF LOTS E
THROUGH 19, THE EAST 1/2 OF LOTS 7 AND 20, BLOCK 44,
UNIT 1, SECTION A, CHAUTAUQUA SUBDIVISION, INTO THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND REDEFINING THE
BOUNDARY LINES 'OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID ADDITION;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, has received a petition from the
owner of the real property described herein requesting the City to annex the real
property described herein into the corporate limits of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, at a regular meeting held on June 1, 1989,
voted to accept the petition and authorized the preparation of an ordinance to
annex the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission held a public hearing upon the proposed
annexation prior to or at the time of first reading of this ordinance; and
WHEREAS, all applicable requirements of Florida law, including the Local
Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act and the
law relating to annexation, have been complied with in connection with this
ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, the following
described property is hereby annexed into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, and the boundary lines of the City are redefined to include
the following:
Lots 8 through 19, and the East 1/2 of Lots 7 and 20, Block 44, Unit
1, Section A, Chautauqua Subdivision, according to the map or plat
thereof as recorded in Plat Book 9, Page 52, of the public records
of Pinellas County, Florida.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater does hereby certify that the measures
contained in this ordinance are consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan.
Section The City Commission hereby accepts the dedication of all
easements, streets, parks, plazas, places, rights-of-way and other dedications
to the public which have heretofore been made by plat, deed or user within the
areas so annexed.
Section 4. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning Director

are directed to include and show the property described herein upon the official
maps and records of the City.

Section S. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
The City Clerk shall file one certified copy with the Clerk of the Circuit Court
of Pinellas County, Florida, and shall file another certified copy with the
Florida Department of State within 30 days of adoption.
