AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
VACATING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY AT
THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 13, BLOCK 18, GOULD AND
EWINGS SUBDIVISION, SECOND ADDITION, CLEARWATER,
PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, it has been requested by the City of Clearwater, owner of certain
real property located in the City of Clearwater, that the City vacate a certain
right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, after proper public notice and public hearing therein, the City
Commission finds that said right-of-way is not necessary nor required for
municipal use and it is deemed to be to the best interest and advantage of the
City and the general public that the same be vacated; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following:
Start at the Southwest corner of Lot 13, Block 18, Gould and Ewings
Subdivision, Second Addition, as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 53,
of the public records of Hillsborough County, Florida, of which
Pinellas County was formerly a part, for a POINT OF BEGINNING, said
point also being the North line of Laura Street; thence run West
along the North line of Laura Street extended to the East line of
Block 8, Gould and Ewing, First Addition, as recorded in Plat Book
1, Page 53 of the public records of Hillsborough County, Florida,
of which Pinellas County was formerly a part; thence run Southerly
along the East line of said Block 8 to the intersection of the South
line of Laura Street extended; thence run East along said extension
of South line of Laura Street to the Northwest corner of Lot 7,
Block 19, of aforesaid Gould and Ewings Subdivision, Second
Addition; thence run Northerly to the POINT OF BEGINNING,
be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and released, and the City of
Clearwater hereby quitclaims and release all of its right, title and interest
thereto by law.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to record this ordinance in
the public records of Pinellas County, Florida.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
