RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES; AMENDING SECTION
71.12(a), CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO REVISE AND CLARIFY THE
TERM "NUISANCE" AS MEANING ANY ACTIVITY DECLARED TO
CONSTITUTE A PUBLIC NUISANCE IN SECTION 95.23, CODE OF

SECTION 798.02 OR CHAPTER 800, FLORIDA STATUTES;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Section 71.12(a) to clarify the s.
..-;.,, • definition of the term "nuisance", so as to define the term consistently with
Section 95.23, Code of Ordinances; and ?;a1
WHEREAS, in order to preserve the public peace and good order and to safeguard the health, public safety and welfare of the community and citizens

Section l Paragraph (1) of Subsection (a) of Section 71.12, Code of
Ordinances is amended to read Y,
Sec. 71.12. Right to revoke, suspend or deny.

chapter for cause, including but not limited to the following:
(I) The licensee maintains or allows a nuisance to be maintained at the
