AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, ,
RELATING TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AMENDING '
SECTION 134.006, CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO CLARIFY THE
DEFINITION OF SURFACE AREA; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE. `
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:

Section 1. Section 134.006, Code of Ordinances is amended to read: 4.
See. 134.006. Key definitions.
Surface area. The smallest rectangular, trapezoidal, triangular, circular or :f =
semicircular area of a sign which fully encompasses all extremities of the sign,
exclusive of supports, uprights, braces and frame. For the purpose of determining the
surface area of a sign plaeed direetly on a wall-, only that part of the wail wh#eh is '
