AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
R,;iLATING TO THE PROPOSED REOPENING OF DUNEDIN
PASS; ESTABLISHING THE FORM OF A STRAW 13ALLOT
QUESTION TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE VOTERS OF THE CITY
ON MARCH 14, 19890 IN CONJUNCTION WITIT THE
REGULAR CITY ELECTION IN ORDER TO ALLOW THE
VOTERS TO STATE THEIR OPINION AS TO WHETTIER
DUNEDIN PASS SHOULD BE REOPENED; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following straw ballot question shall be submitted to the voters
of the City in conjunction with the regular City election to be held on Tuesday,
March 14, 1989, in order to allow the voters of the City to express their opinion as to
whether Dunedin Pass should be reopened:

DUNEDIN PASS REOPENING
If environmental concerng are adequately addressed, are you in favor of the
opening of Dunedin Pass between Clearwater Beach Island and Caladesi
Island?

No
Section 2. The vote upon the foregoing question shall be non-binding; however,
the results of such vote may be deemed to be a statement of the opinion of the voters
of the City upon the question.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect Immediately upon adoption.'
