} AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
RELATING TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AMENDING
SECTION 130.022(k), CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO REQUIRE
THAT ALL HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES SHALL BE
CONSPICUOUSLY OUTLINED IN BLUE PAINT, AS REQUIRED
13Y FLORIDA LAW; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature has amended Section 316.1956(2), Florida
Statutes, to require that handicapped parking spaces provided by nongovernmental
units shall be conspicuously outlined in blue paint; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it necessary and desirable to amend the
corresponding provisions of the Land Development Code in order to achieve
consistency with the requirements of Florida law; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Subsection (k) of Section 136.022, Code of Ordinances, is amended to
read:
