AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED
ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF STATE ROAD 590,
APPROXIMATELY 225 FEET EAST OF SPRING LAKE DRIVE,
CONSISTING OF LOTS 2 AND 2A, SPRING LAKE ESTATES,
PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, INTO THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY
LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID ADDITION;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, received a
petition from Frank W. Webster and Phyllis H. Webster, requesting the City to annex
the real property described herein, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, at a regular meeting held on May 5, 1988,
voted to accept the petition and authorized the preparation of an ordinance to annex
the property; and
WHEREAS, on June 16, 1988, the City Commission held a public hearing upon the
proposed annexation; and
WHEREAS,' all applicable requirements of Florida law, including the Local
Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act and the
law relating to annexation, have been complied with in connection with this ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, the following described
property is hereby annexed into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, and the boundary lines of the City are redefined to include the following:
Lots 2 and 2A, Spring Lake Estates, according to the map or plat thereof as
recorded in Plat Book 54, Page 27, of the public records of Pinellas County,
Florida.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater does hereby certify that the measures
contained in this ordinance are consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and
individual elements thereof.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby accepts the dedication of all easements,
streets, parks, plazas, places, rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which
have heretofore been made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
