AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN OF THE CITY, TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION
FOR CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST
CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF ROYAL WAY AND
POINSETTIA AVENUE, WITHIN THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
i; FROM COMMERCIAL/TOURIST FACILITIES TO PUBLIC/SEMI-
PUBLIC; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the 'Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land
Development Regulation Act (the Act) requires that all development regulations and
amendments thereto relating to an adopted comprehensive plan or element thereof be
reviewed by the Local Planning Agency (LPA) for consistency with plans adopted
pursuant to the Act; and
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Planning Council (PCPC) has been designated as
the LPA, and this ordinance has been referred to and considered by the PCPC;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2019 is amended by changing the land use
category for the hereinafter described property as follows:

of Block 85, according to plat To: Public/Semi-Public
thereof as recorded in Plat
Book 21, Page 13, of the Public

Florida. (L.U.P. 87-15)
Section 2. The City Commission does hereby certify that this ordinance is
consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and elements thereof adopted pursuant
to the Act, and directs that a copy hereof be forwarded to the LPA immediately upon
adoption.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
