AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, ANNEXING LOTS 1, 2 AND 3, BLOCK C, AND
LOT 18, BLOCK B, PINE RIDGE SUBDIVISION,
LOCATED ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH SIDES OF
WOODBINE STREET, ADJACENT TO ROLLEN ROAD
AND EAGT OF NORTH BETTY LANE, PINELLAS
COUNTY, FLORIDA, INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY, AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY
LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID ADDITION;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
v WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, received a

a sworn petition from Julius L. Lovitz, Phyllis Lovitz, Max Turman, Shelley J. Turman,
Flor'etta Jefferson, and Debra Hale requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of
real property described herein, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said request for
annexation, at a regular meeting held on November 6, 1986, voted to accept the

petition and authorized the preparation of an ordinance to annex the property; and
WHEREAS, on December 11, 1986, the City Commission held a public hearing
upon the proposed annexation; and
WHEREAS, the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land
Development Regulation Act (the Act) requires that all development regulations and
amendments thereto related to an adopted comprehensive plan or element thereof be

reviewed by the Local Planning Agency (LPA) for conformance with plans adopted
pursuant to the Act; and
t WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Planning Council (PCPC) has been designated the
Local Planning Agency for Pinellas County and this Ordinance has been referred to and
considered by the PCPC In accordance with its guidelines;
Y NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA;
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, the following described
property is hereby annexed into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, and the boundary lines of the City are redefined to include the following:
r Lots 1, 3 and 3, Block C, and Lot 18, Block B, Pine Ridge
Subdivision, according to the map or plat thereof as recorded in

t+ Plat Book 28, page 98 of the Public Records of Pinellas County

Florida, together with abutting rights-of-way for Woodbine
Street and Rollen Road.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater does hereby certify that the measures
' contained in this ordinance are consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and
individual elements thereof adopted pursuant to the Act, and directs that a copy
i hereof be forwarded to the LPA for their receipt and appropriate action.

Section 3. The City Commission hereby accepts tho dedication of all easements

streets, parks, plazas, places, rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which
have heretofore been made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 9. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning Director are
•' directed to include and show the property described herein upon the official maps and
' records of the City.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. The
City Clerk shall file one certified copy with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Pinellas
County, Florida, and shall file another certified copy with the Florida Department of
State within 30 days of adoption.
