Page, Present: Jim Heinz, Chairman Ed Hooper,' Member Fred 'Ratley, Member Deborah Ford, Human Resources Department The meeting was called to order at, 9:47 a.m. Jim Heinz moved '0 approve the minutes of January 18, 1995. The motion was duly seconded, by ,Ed Hooper and carried unanimously. With respect to the request made by Joseph Reilly at the last meeting, MI'. Hooper' reviewed all the, legal opinions regarding the Pension Plan. One opinion from 1984 and one from 1977 state that an employee who resigns and withdraws his pension contributions must start over ag a i n upon being 'reemployed. These opinions reflect the policy in effect at the time Mr. Reilly was reemployed. Therefore, he was ineligible to buy back his previous pension service. Mr. Reilly will he provided with a copy of these, minutes. The Committee considered the request for survivor's benefits from Cynthia Angell, wife of Kenneth. Angell, Jr., who passed away on January 25, 1995. Mrs. Angell has provided 'certified copies of her marriage certificate and Mr. Angell's death certificate. Jim Heinz moved to grant Mrs. Angell's request. The motion was duly seconded by Ed Hooper and carried unanimous ly.
