NAHAS {Neighborhood & Affordable Housing Advisory Board Members
departed City Hall, 112 S. Osceola, Clearwater at 9:20 a.m. A total of 22 site visits
were conducted with local subgrantee agencies (list attached).
Each subgrantee gave a presentation of the services their agency provides
for the community. When time permitted, Members took tours of the agency's
facility. Among other questions asked of each agency, seven specific questions
from Board members included: 1 ~ what will happen to this program or project if your
funding under our program is not approved; 2) how many people will be served by
your program or project and what is the cost per person served; 3) how long has
this program or project existed; 4) what is your funding request as a percentage of
existing committed funds for this project or program: 5) what other agencies
perform similar services, and would they be able to carry out your project or
program if you were not funded; 6) who are your strategic partners; and 7) what
marketing efforts do you carry out or are planning to insure this project or program's
success.
It was noted that on June 9, 1997, all subgrantees will be given 5 minutes to
present to NAHAB Members why they feel their agency should be funded for fiscal
year 1 997/98. On June 10, 1 997 Board Members will review all information
presented and make their final determination for funding.
The site visits were concluded upon return to City Hall at 6:50 p.m.
