The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall.
To provide continuity for research, Items are In agenda order although not necessarily
discussed in that order.
ITEM #1 M Aooroval of Minutes
Member Nail referred to page 2, paragraph 2, and noted the motion was to approve
construction within 10-feet of a seawall.
~~~) Member Nail moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of April 9, 1997,
as amended. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.

a) 1412 E. Turner St" Clearwater. Florida. Dale R. Anderson. Owner. Linda S. Griffin. ESQ..
ReDresentat;v~. The applicant is requesting an extension of time to bring an unsafe
structure into compliance. Section 41 .161 City Code of Ordinances. Located at Breeze
Hill Sub., Blk F, Lot 14.
Property owner, Albert J. Blizel, passed away on January 17, 1997. The successor
trustee, Father Arthur Murray, was attempting to sell the property AS 15.
On April 29, 1997, Dale R. Anderson purchased the house. He said he had cleaned
the house and site, complied with most of the unsafe structure report, and pulled a permit
for additional work. He is restoring the house, installing a central air-conditioning system,
and will move in when it is habitable. Mr. Anderson said his resources are limited and
requested an extension of time to bring the structure into compliance.

Building Construction Inspector BlII Wright distributed the Unsafe Structure Report
Photo Sheet. He stated the structure has some termite and smoke damage. Dry rot in .

the supports, joists, rafters, and attic also needs to be addressed. It was stated Mr.
Anderson had done a good job so far. Mr. Wright will ac;lvise Mr. Anderson regarding
required repairs.
Member Walker moved to approve Dale Anderson's request and to authorize a GO-
day extension to complete the jtems causing the house at 1412 E. Turner Street, Breeze
Hill Sub., Blk F, Lot 14, to be deemed an unsafe structure. The motion was duly seconded
and carried unanimously.
