CHARITY SOLICITATIONS BOARD
April 18, 1967
The meeting opened at 2 P.M. with the following present:

The Chairman called the meeting to order. Mr. Dribben moved
that the minutes of the meeting of February 28th, 1967 be
approved in accordance with copies submitted to each Board
member in writing. Motion was seconded by Mr. Kennedy and
carried unanimously.
The application of the Tri-City Chapter, National Hemophilia
Foundation, was presented for consideration. Mr. Wortendyke,
President of the Chapter, requested a change of dates, but
had not determined definitely the exact dates desired. In
answer to questions, he stated that the Foundation was mostly
engaged in research, but the local chapter would assist by
donating blood plasma, wheel chairs, braces, et cetera, but
no cash help was anticipated at this time. The Chairman
suggested that the application be withdrawn and refiled after
the organization had determined the dates desired. This was
approved by consent of the Board and Mr. Wortendyke withdrew
the application.
The application of the Salvation Army for a maintenance
campaign from May 1st to May 22nd was considered. Mr.
Drlbben moved that the application be approved. The
motion was seconded by Mr. Kennedy and carried unanimously.
The application of Clearwater "Little Leagues" Inc., which
had been verbally approved was presented for confirmation.
Mr. Kennedy moved to confirm the prior verbal approval of
the Clearwater "Little Leagues" Inc. Mr. Drlbben seconded
the motion which carried unanimously.
The application of the Clearwater League of Women Voters
which had been previously approved verbally was presented
for confirmation. Mr. Dribben moved to conrirm the prior
verbal approval of the Clearwater League of Women Voters'
application. Mr. Kennedy seconded the motion which carried
unanimously.

thanking the Board for their courtesy in relation to their
application for solicitation on March 17th and 18th.
