The Chairman called the meeting to order at 2 P.M.
The Chairman presented the latest information regarding the
finances of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, in which it was
pointed out that the expenditures ran better than 40% of
the income from the drive. After considerable discussion
on the matter Mr. Dribben moved that as the expenditures
were considerably in excess of the ordinance requirements,
except where special facts are presented, and as no special
facts had been shown in the application, that the matter be
deferred until May 3rd, 1966, at 2 P.M. to give the organiza-
tion opportunity to present any further information on the
matter. Mr. Donahey seconded the motion which carried
unanimously.
The City Clerk informed the Board that application forms had
been sent to the Gulf Coast Tuberculosis Association and the
Muscular Distrophy Association. The Chairman requested that
an application be sent immediately to the Red Cross for a
special Red Cross Drive.
