The meeti~g opened at 1:40 P.M. with the following present:

The Chairman called the meeting to order. The minutes of
the meeting of September 29th, 1964 were presented for approval.
Hearing no objections, the Chairman declared the minutes ap-
p~oved in accordance with the copies submitted to each Boa~d
member in writi~g.
The application of Old Ft. Harrison Post #2473, Veterans
of Foreign Wars, which had been verbally approved p~eviously
was presented for confirmation. Mr. Kennedy moved to confirm
the approval of the application of Old Ft. Harrison Post #2473,
Veterans of Foreigh Wars. Mr. Dribben seconded the motion which
carried unanimously.

The application of the United Church Women of Central
Pine lIas to solicit for the benefit of UNICEF which had been
verbally approved previously was presented for confirmation.
Rev. McBride moved to confirm the approval of the application
of the United Church Women of Central Pinellas (UNICEF).
Mr. Kennedy seconded the motion which carried unanimously.
The application of the Christmas Cheer Fund, Inc., which
had been verbally approved previously was presented for con-.
firmation. Mr. Kennedy moved to confirm the approval of the
application of the Christmas Cheer Fund Inc. Chief Booth
seconded the motion which carried unanimously.
The Salvation Army application which had been verbally
approved previously was presented for confirmation. Rev.
McBride moved to confirm the application of the Salvation
Army. Chief Booth seconded the motion which carried unan-
imously.
The application of the Suncoast Heart Association was
presented for consideration which included their request to
stamp each solicitors kit as done for previous solicitations.
Chief Booth moved to approve the application of the Suncoast
Heart Association. Rev. McBride seconded the motion which
carried unanimously.

The application of the Leukemia Society Inc., was pre-
sented for consideration. After considerable discussion
relating to the complaint between the Leukemia Society Inc.,
and ALSAC, the Board by consent agreed that a letter should
be written to both organizations requesting a representative
to appear befox-e the'Board on Wednesday, December 9th, 1964,
at 1:30 P.M., for the purpose of determining whether or not
the two organizations could get t~gether on their solicitations.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned
at 2:25 P.M. .
